Indiana University School of Law is pleased to host the 23rd annual Midwest Clinical Law Conference, the oldest regional clinical conference in the country. This year we are meeting later in the fall (November) but slightly earlier in the week (Thursday-Saturday). We hope to see you all in Bloomington to renew old friendships, make new ones, share ideas, and to show off our new clinical space and some of our remodeled spaces for clinical use.
The theme of the conference this year is Building Bridges: Creating Clinical Opportunities through Collaboration. We plan to explore all kinds of collaborations – within the law school, within the university, and within the larger community.
Our keynote speaker, Antoinette Sedillo Lopez, will remind us why we collaborate and inspire us to look for and try new collaborative opportunities. We will start the conference on Thursday afternoon with two workshops: Teaching Writing to Clinical Law Students and a New Clinicians Workshop. We will end the day with a plenary session a kind of bridge to the rest of the conference with a discussion by several experienced clinicians of If I Knew Then What I Know Now.
